We want to say a massive thank you to Anu and her friends and family who raised £500 for MRKH Connect through her birthday fundraiser recently.

We rely on donations to keep doing the work we do and every little truly does help.

Some examples of how your funds help us are:
✨️ £10-£50 helps us to offset travel costs for someone attending an event we support or run
✨️£100 pays for 1 session of our Youth Program
✨️£300 helps us support community initiatives like MRKH London socials
✨️ £500 pays for the team to attend an event to promote awareness of MRKH to medical professionals and the public

We were so happy to see this news shared by @womb_transplant_uk yesterday and wanted to share our congratulations to Isabel and the incredible work that she, Prof Richard Smith, and the team have achieved.

It is incredible to see a woman who has dedicated her career to helping people as a transplant surgeon to be recognised for her instrumental role in the UTx program in the UK.

Truly influential and inspiring!!

We have had the pleasure to meet Isabel this year on two occasions and not only are her professional accolades clear but her warmth, engagement and real interest to support the community was obvious and quite frankly very touching.

We are grateful for you, Isabel, and everything you do!

Miss Isabel Quiroga was voted as one of them. “For over a decade, transplant and endocrinology surgeon Dr Isabel Quiroga and her fellow researchers at the Oxford Transplant Centre have been fixated on one thing: perfecting the womb transplant. In 2023, their efforts were realised with the first op of its kind in the UK.

Flash forward two years and the first baby via womb transplant has been born. Amy Isabel – named after the donor and Quiroga – arrived in February 2025 to the delight of her parents, Grace and Angus, opening a door for hopeful parents-to-be everywhere.”

Meeting others who get MRKH because they have been

Meeting others who get MRKH because they have been through it and are living it every day is so powerful. A true reminder that we are not alone.

Connection is powerful ⚡️

This is what happened yesterday when 22 MRKHers came together in London (from the UK and beyond!) for an afternoon of creative fun in a relaxed environment, no judgement, no need to mask or hide how you really feel, just a chance to be.

We have been supporting the annual MRKH Christmas social organised by MRKH advocate and all round superstar @ellamaebeing / @mindovermrkh for a few years now by providing sponsorship to offset the cost for all attending as well as providing additional travel bursaries for those that need it.

In our view, cost should not be a barrier to connection and as much as possible we try to address that in our own events as well as the other initiatives we support.

Thank you, Ellamae, as always for your organisation and hosting, and thank you to everyone who came, we know it takes a lot of courage, especially because for many it was your first time meeting others, a step not to be underestimated 💜

Join us for our last virtual hug of the year at our next Connect with Friends online event Sunday 14th December at 7pm GMT (UK time).

This is an online peer support series designed to be relaxed and informal with the chance to chat and share, or just listen, with friends old and new💛

This is a safe space with no pressure to talk just an informal peer led event and a chance to chat with others.

As with all our Connect with Friends this is only for those with MRKH and all MRKHers over 16 are welcome regardless of where you are in your journey.
