Infertility is hard and sometimes we need a remind Infertility is hard and sometimes we need a reminder that we aren't defined by this path we find ourselves on. It's is hard to process, and it's hard to explain to others who haven't experienced it. It's emotional, traumatic, and importantly, personal. Which means it's not something we may want to talk about or often revisit. Yet by not talking about these topics it somehow feels more shameful to admit that it exists and that the "happy outcome" doesn't look the same for everyone. Does it mean we are less worthy? No. Sometimes we do not give ourselves enough grace to believe that can be true. This World Mental Health day we reflect on the critical value of mental health support and finding the right support for us. This year's theme - "Lived experiences heard: real voices, real change" Something that relates strongly to our community, how our shared experiences can help others and make us feel less alone. I'M OK is a project encouraging individuals to tal I'M OK is a project encouraging individuals to talk about their emotional wellbeing and mental health experiences in their own words whilst telling their story through their portraits. This project has never before focused on just one condition and this is why this collaboration is so special. We all know that mental health impact is often under represented and supported so this project refocuses our attention on the impact MRKH has on our mental health and emotional wellbeing in our own words unfiltered, unscripted, unreleased. Whether you are living with MRKH or supporting someone with MRKH and wherever you are in the 🌎, we invite you to share with us only if you feel comfortable to do so. There are so many ways to approach your submission, just like Metaxia's more grpahical interpretation and poem, reaffirming there is no right or wrong way to share your picture or story. 💜 Check out the full gallery linked in our Bio.
