Throwback to our Connect LIVE 2025, where we shared a community video addressing a series of questions around MRKH. Providing a voice to the voiceless, offering advice and cultivating hope.

Infertility is hard and sometimes we need a remind

Infertility is hard and sometimes we need a reminder that we aren't defined by this path we find ourselves on.

It's is hard to process, and it's hard to explain to others who haven't experienced it.

It's emotional, traumatic, and importantly, personal.

Which means it's not something we want to talk about or often revisit.

Yet by not talking about these topics it somehow feels more shameful to admit that it exists and that the "happy outcome" doesn't look the same for everyone.

Does it mean we are less worthy?

No.

Sometimes we do not give ourselves enough grace to believe that can be true.

But there is a big, bold, community out there that continues to provide a voice for the voiceless on this topic, and all that matter 💜

Our Director Charlie @this_charlie_can is not shy

Our Director Charlie @this_charlie_can is not shy of a challenge having completed a couple of them over the years with the aim of raising awareness of MRKH and vital funds for MRKH Connect - whilst doing something she still stands by that she also enjoys (most of the time and especially when its over).

But this year she is mixing it up a bit. She is taking on the Thames Path 100km in September but it holds another special reason for her. So let's hear from Charlie:

"I'm inspired to do another 100km (after swearing I wouldn't after last time) not just because I like a challenge but because this year I had another motivation.

Darcey, pictured with me here, is 14 and was diagnosed with epilepsy a couple of years ago. Facing something life changing at any age is hard but as a teen when you just want to be "normal" is difficult to comprehend and explain to others, something I can also relate to despite our experiences being very different. Yet I am astounded by her courage and bravery despite her age and all she is going through.

So this year I'm doing this for her, and for everyone like us affected by life changing diagnoses that make you question why, how and what does this mean for me. Especially when faced with something massive at a young age.

No one should feel alone in their diagnosis, whatever it is and at whatever age it comes"

Charlie has chosen to raise money for both MRKH Connect as well as for Young Epilepsy for her challenge and we, and the Young Epilepsy team will be cheering her on every step of the way!

We know that MRKH takes a lot out of us, especially at first and as we start to process it.. The shock, the grief, the pain but MRKH can also bring us positive things we didn't expect.

So what can MRKH teach us?

⭐ It gives us insight and appreciation and understandign of differences
⭐ It offers friendship and connection
