✨️ Every Person ✨️ Every person should ha ✨️ Every Person ✨️ Every person should have access to accurate up to date and informative sex education that reflects the variability of our development because its not black and white and its ok there are variations, what is not ok is that we are not prepared at all for them when they happen. It is therefore essential if we want people to be fully informed about their future choices and decisions. Every 6 weeks we run our "virtual hug" community event - Connect with Friends. Join us for our next one Sunday 16th November at 7pm GMT (UK time). This is an online peer support series designed to be relaxed and informal with the chance to chat and share, or just listen, with friends old and new💛 This is a safe space with no pressure to talk just an informal peer led event and a chance to chat with others. ✨️ Every Workplace ✨️ Who has had to cons ✨️ Every Workplace ✨️ Who has had to consider or attempted to speak to an employer about time off for fertility appointments, treatments, procedures etc? How did it go? Chances are it wasn't an easy discussion, and for many people, it's not a conversation they feel comfortable to have, or when they do, they are completely unsupported and there is no infrastructure in place to support. On the flip side, maybe your experience has been great. We'd love to hear both sides! It comes down to the fact that it matters to be seen and understood and to have support during what can be a lengthy process. It matters that there are processes in place for anyone faced with a fertility journey. Things are perhaps changing (we hope so!), and the @fertilitymattersatwork team, for example, is working tirelessly on campaigns addressing this in the UK. But how do we address this globally and take into account the many different factors and nuances, including culture and geography etc, that can be factors in that discussion? No one should feel unsupported or forced to take holiday or leave a role because of insufficient understanding, education, and support from an employer. ✨️ Every Voice Matters ✨️ It's so powerfu ✨️ Every Voice Matters ✨️ It's so powerful to hear personal stories that we can not only relate to but that can also provide comfort and support. For some of us being silent is how we have learnt to "be" with our diagnosis. Whether those reasons are because of personal, cultural circumstance or aomething else. It is true that advocacy doesn't have to be public but finding a way to communicate, to access support and know you are not alone is powerful and often vital for our path to acceptance.
