March is Endometriosis awareness month. Endometri March is Endometriosis awareness month. Endometriosis is a long term condition where tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows in other parts of the body, generally on organs in the pelvic cavity such as the ovaries, fallopian tubes and bowel but it can also grow in other areas including on the sciatic nerve. It is so much more than "just a bad period", Awareness of the condition is poor and diagnosis continues to take too long, just as we also find with MRKH. But did you know that you can also have Endometriosis if you have MRKH? Find out more about Endometriosis and the awareness raised during March, and throughout the year, through organisations like @theendometriosisfoundation who also have excellent resources on their grid and website. Let's continue to focus on women's health and improving awareness for conditions like Endo, MRKH and others to reduce stigma, improve medical care and resources and shorten diagnosis times. Where every participant collectively contributes to our fundraising goal of £5,000. This year we have 4 challenges for you to choose from, designed to be accessible to all whether you are a fitness fan or a wellbeing wizz there is something for everyone. So today we want to give a big shout out to everyone who finds today hard for whatever reason whilst also acknowledging the many mothers, sisters, aunts, godparents and fathers (who are also mothers), and everything in between. Today can be bittersweet and our private struggles can be triggered by a day so centric to society rather than reflective and inclusive to the challenges faced by so many. What better way to get in front of medical profess What better way to get in front of medical professionals and researchers as well as other peer groups for conditions and research from across the world than to have a seat at that table at the World Congress? WCPAG is World Congress Pediatric and Adolescent Gynaecology it is a leading international medical conference held every three years, designed to bring together experts, clinicians, researchers, and nurses to discuss advancements in the subspecialty of pediatric and adolescent gynecology. This year it is being held in San Francisco in collaboration with NASPAG (North American Society of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynaecology). We are delighted that we can join our peers from @beautifulyoumrkh, @sumaavicoaching, @mrkhcanada and @sue_mariec to show the strength and breadth of our global community on the world stage whilst hearing from experts in their field. This is a safe space with no pressure to talk or share, videos can be on or off and you are very welcome to just listen if you want to. How do you define womanhood? ✨💜🙌 With Internation How do you define womanhood? ✨💜🙌 With International Women’s Day just days behind us, it’s good to reflect on the definition of womanhood. People with MRKH often grapple with their definition of ‘womanhood’, making them feel like an outsider of such a universal term. When MRKH is diagnosed, it often occurs at the critical junction in a person’s life: first period, first sexual experience, first social interaction. So, when MRKH comes along, it can feel like a huge crash in the brain’s wiring of creating a personal definition of womanhood, and most importantly, belonging. ✨ Do you have your own version of womanhood? ✨ Have you decided what makes a woman a ‘woman’? ✨ How does this word make you feel?
