March is Endometriosis awareness month.

Endometriosis is a long term condition where tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows in other parts of the body, generally on organs in the pelvic cavity such as the ovaries, fallopian tubes and bowel but it can also grow in other areas including on the sciatic nerve.

It is so much more than "just a bad period",

Awareness of the condition is poor and diagnosis continues to take too long, just as we also find with MRKH.

But did you know that you can also have Endometriosis if you have MRKH?

Find out more about Endometriosis and the awareness raised during March, and throughout the year, through organisations like @theendometriosisfoundation who also have excellent resources on their grid and website.

Let's continue to focus on women's health and improving awareness for conditions like Endo, MRKH and others to reduce stigma, improve medical care and resources and shorten diagnosis times.

If you have any concerns you are experiencing any symptoms that don't feel right or are prolonged then reach out to your doctor, and keep pushing for answers.

We created Connect with Friends as a way to come together and share the good, the bad and the ugly in a space with others who truly get it. Wherever you are in your journey.

Whether you have joined us many times or never before maybe this could be for you.

Our next online Connect with Friends peer support group is on Sunday 22nd March at 7pm GMT (UK time).

These events are designed to be relaxed and informal with the chance to chat and share, or just listen, with friends old and new💛

As with all our Connect with Friends this is only for those with MRKH and all MRKHers over 16 are welcome regardless of where you are in your journey.

Inspired by the fact we are 1 in 5000, the 5000 in 50 challenge is designed to raise awareness for MRKH whilst also promoting physical and mental health over 50 days. Where every participant collectively contributes to our fundraising goal of £5,000.

This year we have 4 challenges for you to choose from, designed to be accessible to all whether you are a fitness fan or a wellbeing wizz there is something for everyone.

This challenge is open to all whether you have MRKH or not so invite your friends and family to join this challenge and help us reach our goal together!

Let's shine a light on MRKH whilst doing something meaningful for our own physical of mental health and well being. A way to step out of our comfort zone or simply have a clear goal to achieve.

Today can be the happiest day for many and the hardest for others. For others again it's just another Sunday.

So today we want to give a big shout out to everyone who finds today hard for whatever reason whilst also acknowledging the many mothers, sisters, aunts, godparents and fathers (who are also mothers), and everything in between.

Today can be bittersweet and our private struggles can be triggered by a day so centric to society rather than reflective and inclusive to the challenges faced by so many.

Be kind to each other and to yourself today and always because we all deserve acknowledgement regardless of our journey.

What better way to get in front of medical profess

What better way to get in front of medical professionals and researchers as well as other peer groups for conditions and research from across the world than to have a seat at that table at the World Congress?

WCPAG is World Congress Pediatric and Adolescent Gynaecology it is a leading international medical conference held every three years, designed to bring together experts, clinicians, researchers, and nurses to discuss advancements in the subspecialty of pediatric and adolescent gynecology. This year it is being held in San Francisco in collaboration with NASPAG (North American Society of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynaecology).

We are delighted that we can join our peers from @beautifulyoumrkh, @sumaavicoaching, @mrkhcanada and @sue_mariec to show the strength and breadth of our global community on the world stage whilst hearing from experts in their field.

Who is coming? 👆

This will be a relaxed online get together with no specific topics but there will be some prompts to get the discussion going and as always you can bring your questions and comments.

This is a safe space with no pressure to talk or share, videos can be on or off and you are very welcome to just listen if you want to. The event, as with all our Connect with Friends, is only for those with MRKH and all MRKHers over 16 are welcome regardless of where you are in your journey.

This event is part of our Connect with Friends regular online informal catch up series. The events are peer led support hosted by the MRKH Connect team, with a mix of informal chats, chats with focused topics, creative events and featuring many friends in the community as guest hosts, speakers and collaborators.

These events cannot provide medical advice or professional support but can help signpost to services/professional support that may be of interest and are a great way to meet others and share experiences.
