MRKH Connect is a charity with a mission to connect those with MRKH all over the world. No one should feel alone, we are 1 in 5000 #mrkhempowerment ❤️

✨️CALL TO ACTION✨️ As we prepare for this year's ✨️CALL TO ACTION✨️

As we prepare for this year's National Fertility Awareness Week (NFAW) starting 2nd Nov we want to shine a light on our community and most importantly the real people and real experiences that MRKH affects. So we want to hear from YOU.

This year's theme is #FertilityUnfiltered because these conversations are tough and we all know the reality is infertility is HARD and knowing there are others going through those same or similar experiences can really make a big difference.

Suddenly we may not feel so alone.

If you are interested to share your MRKH story on any of the following topics for NFAW then drop us a 💜 below and we will send more details. Our aim will be to then share these experiences during NFAW.
✨️ Your MRKH experience
✨️ What fertility means for you
✨️ Your path to parenthood, or childlessness
✨️ Fertility experiences at work
✨️ The impact of an MRKH diagnosis

Absolutely no pressure to participate and importantly submissions can also be anonymous.

These are hard hitting topics, but NFAW is all about shouting louder for recognition and understanding that fertility as a whole topic needs more awareness and acknowledgment both at a medical and also governmental level.

Let's be part of the movement towards change, together 💜

Every path to children is different but not every Every path to children is different but not every path is one everyone wants to follow or perhaps can follow. When you have MRKH and are considering having children, those options look immediately different meaning there is an element of perseverance to explore, pursue and be informed about those options and what's right for you.

This week is National Adoption Week in the UK and also 2026 marks the centenary of the Adoption of Children Act in England and Wales. 100 years since adoption became a legal formal process, meaning adoptive parents were given the legal status and rights of parents.

We love this beautiful quote taken from a piece on our website 💜

"Adoption isn't about being the perfect parent, but about opening your heart, providing stability and helping a child feel loved, supported and safe ❤️" - @you.can.adopt

Our #PathtoParenthood page explores different experiences from our community on exploring paths to parenthood complemented also by our #LifewithoutChildren page as well.

After a soft launch at Connect LIVE, we are deligh After a soft launch at Connect LIVE, we are delighted to launch “I’m OK” a collaborative visual story telling project with photographer Richard Eyers, founder of the I’m OK project.

This project is designed to raise awareness around mental health and, in this case also MRKH.

I’m OK is a project encouraging individuals to talk about their emotional wellbeing and mental health experiences in their own words whilst telling their story through their portraits. This project has never before focused on just one condition.

As many of us know, mental health is often secondary to physiological support on our journey. This project aims to refocus our attention on the impact MRKH has on our mental health and emotional wellbeing in our own words unfiltered, unscripted, unreleased.

Whether you are living with MRKH or supporting someone with MRKH, we invite you to share with us only if you feel comfortable to do so. There are so many ways to approach your submission.

Swipe to see some examples and quotes, check out the I’m OK page in our bio, or drop us a 💜 below or DM!

6 years ago this week we started Connect with Frie 6 years ago this week we started Connect with Friends with some of our friends and collaborators.

The objective? A regular online peer to peer support group providing a space for MRKHers to come together and chat and share in an informal environment at a time when physically coming together was impossible.

6 years later whilst we don't have the pandemic the premise is the same and the need no less valid. So every 6 weeks we come together for each other and to support individuals all over the world looking for that connection, the wish to not feel alone and to finally meet others who simply "get it".

At MRKH Connect we are built on connection and connecting people together at a peer level and through information, resources and signposting.

Because knowledge is power, information is strength and owing our own story is priceless.

As we gear up for tonight's Connect with Friends we reflect on this program and the people from across the world who have joined. We also recently expanded the Connect with series to include special dedicated sessions for our partners, parents and friends too called Connect and Support (look out for more of those!).

Whatever connection you need on your journey, at whatever age and stage we hope you can find it here. And if you can't we would love to help you find what can help.

Here's to another 6 years (and many more after) of this program.

💜

Infertility is hard and sometimes we need a remind Infertility is hard and sometimes we need a reminder that we aren't defined by this path we find ourselves on.

It's is hard to process, and it's hard to explain to others who haven't experienced it.

It's emotional, traumatic, and importantly, personal.

Which means it's not something we may want to talk about or often revisit.

Yet by not talking about these topics it somehow feels more shameful to admit that it exists and that the "happy outcome" doesn't look the same for everyone.

Does it mean we are less worthy?

No.

Sometimes we do not give ourselves enough grace to believe that can be true.

But there is a big, bold, community out there that continues to provide a voice for the voiceless on this topic, and all that matter regardless of the reason 💜

Our mental health is more important than our physi Our mental health is more important than our physical health but sometimes the hardest thing to know we need support with, or where to find it.

This World Mental Health day we reflect on the critical value of mental health support and finding the right support for us.

This year's theme - "Lived experiences heard: real voices, real change"

Something that relates strongly to our community, how our shared experiences can help others and make us feel less alone.

If you need support we encourage you to check out these great pages - @mentalhealthfoundation, @samaritanscharity, @mindcharity and know that we are always here for peer support and virtual hugs.
