No one knows...but you. It's not always easy, it No one knows...but you.

It's not always easy, it comes in waves, but we keep going.

Maybe that path veers a bit from the straight ahead, it may also sometimes feel like backwards but everything we go through we also grow through.

Let’s talk about the role of shame and its influen Let’s talk about the role of shame and its influence on our MRKH identity.

Honestly, living with shame is like sharing your veins with blood and poison. Only through storytelling, advocacy, and community, can we take control of a past that requires fighting for.

Interestingly, the term ‘sweet sixteen’ derives from a Latin American milestone, where families celebrate a girl transitioning from childhood into womanhood. The pressure!

For most, sweet it was not.

At the peak of our adolescence, we were given clear evidence that we were born different – and different in a way that wasn’t (always) politically or socially OK to talk about. While our girlfriends were whispering about getting their first periods, we were told we may never achieve this rite of passage. If we didn’t take extreme steps, we cannot ever have sex (in the typical terms). That our bodies will never be able to naturally carry a baby.

We need to stare shame in the eye and take our power back. Shame is not invited to the table, so let’s return-to-sender, immediately.

As children and teenagers, we have had to unlearn, unsee, unhear and unfeel everything that we believed to be our future as a woman..Every magazine article, film, TV show and overheard conversation from the women around us was to be utterly rocked and reduced to emotional rubble.

But, this isn’t the only way to live.

Maybe our trauma was meant to be a soulful compass towards a different life,
but only if we empower our trauma, instead of giving it free rein. This is our chance to have an honest, open and empowering conversation with our community. We truly believe that part of our duty as a charity is to address the triggers and not remove the source of them.

What does shame mean to you? And, most importantly, how do you kick it’s butt right out of the room?

What is MRKH ----> 💜 As we continue our drive for What is MRKH ----> 💜

As we continue our drive for improved awareness of MRKH we are resharing this oldie but goodie!

MRKH (Mayer Rokitansky Küster Hauser) Syndrome is a congenital condition that affects 1 in 5000 female births. It leads to the absence or underdevelopment of the uterus, cervix and shortening of the vagina. The ovaries are not typically affected. There are two types. Type 1 as described above and Type 2, which is less common, where additionally the kidneys, bones, heart or hearing may be affected.

4 years ago we had the privilege to collaborate with our Italian Roki friends @guerriereroki and @designsbyduvetdays to make this artistic representation of MRKH and how it typically affects the reproductive system. This adds to the collection of other beautiful anatomical art pieces Jenna designs.

It was designed to celebrate our beauty, and we like to also think it shows the growth and ability to flourish despite the impact that an MRKH diagnosis can have.

We are more than our diagnosis 🤍

✨️New Book Release✨️ After having the chance to m ✨️New Book Release✨️

After having the chance to meet Prof Richard Smith and Miss Isabel Quiroga following the birth of baby Amy to MRKHer Grace last year we are so proud to have been able to discuss with their publishers about sharing their new book.

This book isn’t just a powerful personal story. It represents a true breakthrough that is changing what’s possible for so many.

This pioneering journey has reached far beyond the medical world, being featured across major news platforms including BBC, The Telegraph, The Independent, Sky News and more, sparking global conversations, raising awareness, and shining a light on experiences that have too often gone
unheard, especially within the MRKH community.

At its core, this story is about people, hope, and the courage to push boundaries. It shows how far we have come and how much further we can go together.
