MRKH Connect is a charity with a mission to connect those with MRKH all over the world. No one should feel alone, we are 1 in 5000 #mrkhempowerment ❤️
Register for our Connect with Friends on Sunday 22 Register for our Connect with Friends on Sunday 22nd March! ✨❤️🙌 Who is coming? 👆 This will be a relaxed online get together with no specific topics but there will be some prompts to get the discussion going and as always you can bring your questions and comments. This is a safe space with no pressure to talk or share, videos can be on or off and you are very welcome to just listen if you want to. The event, as with all our Connect with Friends, is only for those with MRKH and all MRKHers over 16 are welcome regardless of where you are in your journey. This event is part of our Connect with Friends regular online informal catch up series. The events are peer led support hosted by the MRKH Connect team, with a mix of informal chats, chats with focused topics, creative events and featuring many friends in the community as guest hosts, speakers and collaborators. These events cannot provide medical advice or professional support but can help signpost to services/professional support that may be of interest and are a great way to meet others and share experiences. How do you define womanhood? ✨💜🙌 With Internation How do you define womanhood? ✨💜🙌 With International Women’s Day just days behind us, it’s good to reflect on the definition of womanhood. People with MRKH often grapple with their definition of ‘womanhood’, making them feel like an outsider of such a universal term. When MRKH is diagnosed, it often occurs at the critical junction in a person’s life: first period, first sexual experience, first social interaction. So, when MRKH comes along, it can feel like a huge crash in the brain’s wiring of creating a personal definition of womanhood, and most importantly, belonging. ✨ Do you have your own version of womanhood? ✨ Have you decided what makes a woman a ‘woman’? ✨ How does this word make you feel? This is an incredibly personal step and everyone's approach to if, when and how they disclose is their own. However, its a question that comes up a lot and understanding how others have shared can be extremely valuable for those exploring their own path to doing so.
