MRKH Connect is a charity with a mission to connect those with MRKH all over the world. No one should feel alone, we are 1 in 5000 #mrkhempowerment ❤️
At first, during the early years, it’s about deali At first, during the early years, it’s about dealing with and adjusting to an MRKH diagnosis. But then, something else happens — another layer of hard: Coping. Not only do we deal with the diagnosis, but we deal with what we did to deal with the diagnosis: a set of risky choices, looking for answers in all the wrong places, ‘harming’ ourselves as a form of misplaced anger, and berating a body as a form of punishment. Not only are we unforgiving with MRKH, but we also become unforgiving with ourselves. Enter, the #MRKH double whammy! So. This is our permission slip to say: ✨Be kind to yourself. ✨Don’t judge your behaviour. ✨Don’t belittle your reactions. ✨Avoid placing yourself on the naughty step — you did nothing wrong. ✨Get curious with your feelings. ✨Wait a kind minute before replying, “I’m fine”. ✨Hold your power. ✨Protect your peace. ✨Don’t make excuses for how others behave. ✨Take life in slow motion if need be. ✨Not mistakes - choices with no emotional GPS. ✨You don’t need fixing, because you are not broken. ✨You need time. ✨You need zero judgement. ✨You need love and understanding. Director @this_charlie_can is on her way to WCPAG Director @this_charlie_can is on her way to WCPAG and it just so happens to also be NIAW and today is WearOrange for infertility too! What better way to get in front of medical professionals and researchers as well as other peer groups for conditions and research from across the world than to have a seat at the table at the World Congress? WCPAG is World Congress Pediatric and Adolescent Gynaecology it is a leading international medical conference held every three years, designed to bring together experts, clinicians, researchers, and nurses to discuss advancements in the subspecialty of pediatric and adolescent gynecology. This year, it is being held in San Francisco in collaboration with NASPAG (North American Society of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynaecology). We are delighted that we can join our peers from @beautifulyoumrkh, @sumaavicoaching, @mrkhcanada to show the strength and breadth of our global community on the world stage whilst hearing from experts in their field. At times, especially during the early days of an M At times, especially during the early days of an MRKH diagnosis, it can feel as though the light suddenly disappears. There can be days when our lives feel hijacked when we least expect it; feeling like an outsider in conversations with our friends, triggered by headlines about infertility and health, family gatherings, and social media posts depicting confidence and joy (when we are feeling anything but these emotions). When the spark starts to fade, it’s about trusting the future. Everything passes even though we think it never will: a feeling, a future, a reality... it passes. But it doesn’t pass without a little helping hand. It doesn’t happen without hope. If only we could wave a magic wand and pinpoint the exact moment when the weight will lift. While we don’t know the moment, we do know how to get there: talking, supporting, and educating. We, MRKH Connect, exist because we know it can take a village to overcome the hurdles MRKH can pose. This week is National Infertility Awareness Week for our US friends (and Canadian Fertility Awareness Week for our Canadian friends) but regardless of where you are in the world it is a gentle reminder of how important it is to continue to raise awareness and shine a light on infertility as a whole. New research, especially where it may be of intere New research, especially where it may be of interest or value to our community is always something we are interested to share. The Center for Bioethics and Health Policy recently contacted us and are exploring how future reproductive technologies, specifically ectogestation, could impact the legal definition of parenthood in the UK for anyone affected by or requiring assisted reproduction. This may be of interest to the MRKH community among many others. They are are holding 1-hour online interviews with: ✨️ individuals with experience of assisted reproduction, ✨️individuals with an interest in assisted reproduction, ✨️individuals born via assisted reproduction (e.g. IVF, surrogacy, donor conception) We believe in the value of research to better understand, inform and improve services/offerings available to our community and beyond which is where we believe research topics like may be of interest. This week we had our last Youth Program session of This week we had our last Youth Program session of our first 2026 cohort. Every group is different, every group special and we are humbled and honoured to share the space with 4-6 young MRKHers who want to explore different tools towards acceptance, make friends and have some fun along the way. These sessions are informal but informative, designed to empower and support. Developed in collaboration with a professional youth worker but delivered through peer led facilitation. Unique in our community and something we are proud to offer to anyone with MRKH aged nominally between 18-25.
