Trustee Application

Are you interested in joining our Trustee Board? 

Do you have MRKH and are you from the UK and are you interested to get more involved with MRKH Connect and contribute directly to the community?

Whether you are interested in simply being part of something special with a unique experience to join a charity or have skills to bring to the team such as social media, fresh ideas or just want to contribute in a different way, we would be very interested in your application.

Owing to the nature of how we work we can only accept applications from UK residents at this time.  If you are not from the UK but interested in doing more in this space we have a new program re-launching soon!

The role of the Trustee Board is to be passionate about our mission to connect those with MRKH to each other and support their friends and family whilst also raising awareness publicly of the condition.  The Board define everything that we do as a charity and ensure we meet all of our obligations as a registered charity.  Our diverse Board is there to plan and execute our mission over the year and most importantly is there to serve the MRKH community in the best way.

What do I need to consider?:

  • You need to have MRKH and live in the UK
  • You do not need to have had any experience working on a charity board before
  • You do not need to be public about your MRKH
  • Applicants must be aged 18 and over
  • Experience and motivation to be creative and take initiative, whilst being comfortable to engage the group is important
  • The Board meets approximately 4 times online as well as 1 in person meeting per year.  Regular interim meetings are taken with the MRKHers on the Board in relation to specific initiatives
  • MRKH Connect is a volunteer run charity we do not pay any Board members but expenses to attend events etc (where appropriate) is provided
  • MRKH Connect provide all appropriate checks and training (DBS, safeguarding etc) for successful applicants
