Help us reach out collective of £5000 raised in 50 days by choosing your challenge!
MRKH Connect 5000-in-50 is an annual international initiative to raise awareness for MRKH syndrome which affects 1 in 5000 female births and we invite you to join us as we start again on May 22nd 2026
The challenge is focused on raising awareness for MRKH, what it means, how it impacts, and what support is available. No one with MRKH should feel alone yet a lack of knowledge from medical professionals and poor awareness of support options means that time to reach a diagnosis and support is still too long. Our goal? Other than raising awareness is to collectively raise £5000 for MRKH Connect whilst promoting our physical and mental health and wellbeing.
The challenge which runs virtually is designed to give every individual who takes part a chance to focus on their physical and mental health in a way that suits them through carefully designed challenge options whilst raising vital funds for the community.
This event is open to everyone who wants to raise awareness for MRKH whether you are an MRKHer, supporter or simply interested to learn more. The best part of this challenge is that you get to make the choice from our list of options. A way to dedicate and focus on something for you with a common goal in mind. What will you choose to take on?
Here are the challenges:
- 5000 metres per day for 50 days (walk, jog, run)
- 5000 steps per day for 50 days
- 5000 minutes of reading/journaling/mindfulness/cross stitch over 50 days
- 5000 minutes of exercise of choice over 50 days
Sign up at the link and if you are interested in simply donating to our cause then you can also check out our JustGiving page!
This event is just one of our campaigns to raise awareness and shine a light on the community whilst ensuring everyone affected by MRKH finds resources, support and signposting relevant for them.
Important information
- When does the challenge begin? 22nd May
- How will it work? You select your challenge from the list, set up your fundraising goal and page and we help you promote and share your activity along the way.
- Do I have to be open about MRKH to join the challenge? Not at all, just because we want to raise awareness doesn’t mean that you have to do anything you aren’t comfortable with. Advocacy doesn’t have to be public to be powerful!
- How much is it to sign up? The registration fee is £10 with the option to join our Facebook community page and Strava event group and ensures you are in with a chance to receiving some goodies along the way!
- Are there any geographic restrictions? No, this is designed to be an event open for all and as the event is primarily virtual there is no geographic restriction. However the last day of the challenge is Connect LIVE 2026 in London (11th July) and we hope many of you will join us in person (or online) for this fantastic peer support event focused on information, connection and most of all fun.
- Who can register? Registration is open to all whether you have MRKH or not. We know how important our friends, family etc are in our journey and everyone has a part to play in this virtual challenge to collectively work together to improve awareness.
