We all have our own journey's with MRKH. But one We all have our own journey's with MRKH. But one thing we all have in common is a missing (or underdeveloped) uterus.

This is symbolic for many reasons and its implications can be a huge part of the acceptance process for many.

But we love this amazing post by our very own Connect board member and MRKH badass Hasna @walkingwithmrkh who has written this post about the importance of a plush uterus to her journey, and the journey it went on to get to her! 💜💜

Check out "Welcome to my new uterus" by following the link to our blogs in our bio!

Did you know @nhsengland include patients within t Did you know @nhsengland include patients within their speciality service groups to provide valuable insights to advise, support and improve care and services in England under a range of specialisms?

We were excited to learn that they currently have vacancies for these Patient and Public Voices (PPV) that sit with clinicians and public health experts to help guide our services and the care we receive.

There are a range of vacancies but for our community it is the Clinical Reference Group that is relevant and we have a page on our website to explain this in more detail and how to apply. Link in our bio! 🙂

Here you can find more details of what they do, what a PPV is expected to do and how this opportunity relates to those with MRKH and other DSD/DRD. We also include a video from a PPV of one of the groups sharing their experiences!

This is a unique opportunity we think to have your voice heard and the #nhs is committed to promoting equality and is particularly encouraging the BAME community to apply!

Small steps can have big impacts

Anyone else forgetting what month, even what day i Anyone else forgetting what month, even what day it is at the moment?

This can really play with our negative emotions which can outweigh our positive ones

Hands up anyone who has felt stressed, exhausted, strained, sad, angry, anxious, uncertain or all of the above (or any we missed)?

We have 🙋‍♀️

Navigating emotions is not easy trying to do so in a pandemic, lockdown and juggle work, school, life etc can seem insurmountable at times.

You don't have to do it alone and despite all the negative elements of our upside down world right now there can be opportunities too.

We are here and the wider community are here for the good and the bad and to help reassure, provide advice or simply provide a big virtual hug!

We wish we could turn the world the right way up. To give out those actual hugs to those we love and care for but until that time we can again (please please let that be soon!) know that we are only a DM, email or carrier pigeon away

Stay safe 🤍

Our friends can often feel very much like family. Our friends can often feel very much like family. Our friends are often more approachable for some topics than our parents/guardians or other family members might be.

Friendship means so much to us all. It helps get us through those tricky times and also celebrate the good times.

This new post on our Friends and Family page is from a friend of an MRKHer. Whilst still new to knowing about her friend's diagnosis of MRKH she shares her advice and what she has learnt over the last few months.

You can read "Don't change how you perceive your friend" now by clicking on Friends and Family in our bio!

This page will continue to grow just like our blog page and will share experiences of those fabulous people in our support networks as a way to help others supporters.

Do you have a piece you would like to share, or some wisdom to pass, to other parents friends or partners of those supporting someone with MRKH?

Please get in touch we would love to hear from you 💛

Natalie's Journey Begins Natalie (@mymrkhlife) is Natalie's Journey Begins

Natalie (@mymrkhlife) is 36 and from the USA

She describes her journey to MRKH diagnosis through an honest and raw blog post.

"I was plagued with anxiety as a then and it always hit hard when I would lay down at night and my thoughts would escape me...I felt embarrassed to bring this subject up so I acted like nothing was bothering me"

You can read Natalie's post in full by following Let's Connect Series 2 in our linktr.ee (in bio)

As we all know living with MRKH is not easy. Those moments of uncertainty and isolation are all valid and there is no right or wrong way to feel.

Reliving experiences can be emotional but they can also show a positivity and strength which shouldn't be underestimated. In every heartache there can also be opportunity and as we share this series amongst the sadness there is also hope and joy and friendship to be gained.

Every story is unique but we can often find similarities in our own. These are real stories from real women living and breathing MRKH every day. Thank you to all those involved for your courage and bravery.

This is only the start of that journey.

You can also hear Emily's journey to diagnosis (check out our grid / IGTV for more info!)

Join us next time as we tackle that often difficult first year from diagnosis with two more personal accounts.

If you need support or have questions then please dont hesitate to reach out, we are always here ❤

If we haven't met you yet then welcome and here is a little about us.

We are a UK charity founded in 2014 with a global reach through our online community, map and forum.

We were founded under the mission of connecting those with MRKH together and providing support to them and their families whilst raising awareness for the condition.

This mission very much remains today with the over arching aim that no one with MRKH should feel alone

Today we are a charity that:
🤍 Connects those with MRKH together
🤍 Supports those with MRKH and their families at whatever age or stage of their journey they are
🤍 Has built a Community and importantly collaborates with the wider MRKH Community to raise awareness of the condition and improve global knowledge of it, something we believe is very important

There are many ways your can interact or contribute with us at whatever level you feel comfortable, open initiatives include:
🤍 MRKH connect blog - where you share your experiences
🤍 Connect with friends - our regular online meet up
🤍 MRKH and Lockdown multimedia series
🤍 Friends and Family - experiences to help our beloved supporters
...and Lets Connect is back very soon!

Most of all we are here for you all and we have so much coming up in 2021.

Keep following us and check out our bio for some useful links and our website info and most of all we love to hear from you so feel free to say hi!
