Sometimes we don't always feel supported. The fe Sometimes we don't always feel supported.

The feeling that everything might collapse underneath us at a moments notice just like a chair with only three legs.

But even when it doesn't seem like it is there we can always lean into the safety of peer support. Or that simple DM of "Hi, can you help" and know that we are here.

it may seem corny, or perhaps cringey, but it's true. We aren't here to overcomplicate. We are here to help you find connection, resources and support to help you on your journey.

There is always a seat here with us.

I'M OK is a project encouraging individuals to tal I'M OK is a project encouraging individuals to talk about their emotional wellbeing and mental health experiences in their own words whilst telling their story through their portraits. This project has never before focused on just one condition and this is why this collaboration is so special.

We all know that mental health impact is often under represented and supported so this project refocuses our attention on the impact MRKH has on our mental health and emotional wellbeing in our own words unfiltered, unscripted, unreleased.

Whether you are living with MRKH or supporting someone with MRKH and wherever you are in the ๐ŸŒŽ, we invite you to share with us only if you feel comfortable to do so.

There are so many ways to approach your submission, just like Metaxia's more grpahical interpretation and poem, reaffirming there is no right or wrong way to share your picture or story.

โœจHow were you diagnosed with MRKH?โœจ We want to he โœจHow were you diagnosed with MRKH?โœจ

We want to hear your experience.๐Ÿ™Œ

MRKH diagnosis can look very different depending on when you were diagnosed, where you were diagnosed, and what imaging or procedures were available at the time.

So, weโ€™re asking the MRKH community: What actually led to your diagnosis?

โ“ An ultrasound
โ“ An MRI
โ“ A laparoscopy
โ“A combination of investigations
โ“ A physical examination
โ“Blood tests or genetic testingโ€ฆ or something completely different?

And hereโ€™s the bit weโ€™re really interested in:

What year were you diagnosed? ๐Ÿ“†

Weโ€™re hoping to look at whether diagnostic experiences and procedures have changed over time โ€“ from those diagnosed decades ago to those receiving a diagnosis more recently.

There is no โ€œrightโ€ answer. Every experience matters.

๐Ÿ‘‡ Tell us in the comments and help us build a picture of the MRKH diagnostic journey across generations.

Your experience could help someone else feel less alone โ€“ and help us understand where things have changed, and where there may still be gaps.โค๏ธ

Maybe it's a strange question to ask but at the sa Maybe it's a strange question to ask but at the same time - do you? hands up ๐Ÿ™‹โ€โ™€๏ธ

๐Ÿ™‹โ€โ™€๏ธ - yep, we definitely have a tendency to overthink and over complicate.

Why?

Because it's natural in part, we spend time worrying what could be and what might have been and how we might deal with something to the detriment sometimes of actually being present in the moment.

Put simply all that matters is getting wherever we go with the hope and courage and love we need to get there and live the happy lives we all deserve even when our paths may look quite different to how we originally envisaged.

Yet when we are in the thick of it it can be the furthest thing from our mind.

Now we all know that life isn't simple. It is complex and sometimes we need to take a step back and recognise there will be challenges and not fear for the worst when they do occur, instead understand that they will happen and embrace it in the way we need to at the time.

Comparison is the thief of joy but support is always here whether peer advice or professional. it can be a great way to realign thoughts and feelings and know you aren't alone.

An MRKH diagnosis can feel like hitting a literal An MRKH diagnosis can feel like hitting a literal brick wall.

It stops us in our tracks, it's unexpected and unexplainable and can leave us feeling lonely and isolated.

Randomly seeing M R K H scrawled on a brick wall felt like a reminder of that time, those feelings and the emotion that followed.

Yet those letters written out of context can be as much a reminder of how far we have come as it is one of those first utterings of MRKH and what that means for us.

We hope that whoever scrawled those letters has found support and community to help them on their journey.

You are not alone๐Ÿ’œ
