Date: 20th July 2024
Time and Venue: 12:30 – 18:00 at Curzon Cinema, Victoria,  London, UK

Connect LIVE is back! We are going bigger and better than ever, because this time we are going to the movies! Yes, that’s correct, MRKH Connect is bringing Connect LIVE to the big screen, in a powerful curated event to celebrate our MRKH community, our biggest milestones in UK and global advocacy, and most importantly, you.

Connect LIVE is an in-person community led event, featuring speakers from across our community. This year is an extra special Connect LIVE event, as we celebrate 10 years of MRKH Connect as a UK based charity, and the collective efforts we have all held a place in building.

As we continue to curate and finalise the program you can be assured that we will bring you unique and inspiring stories through the lived experiences of those with MRKH along with information from our supports, colleagues and partner organisations, presentations spanning from diagnosis day to – whatever the future holds, panel discussions and plenty of opportunities for discussion, for all those touched by MRKH, ending with a social event where everyone can come together.

Registration opens at 12.30pm for a 1pm start, with a break halfway we will run until about 4.30pm and then move to a relaxed area for an informal social until 6pm.

Who can attend?

Anyone with MRKH over 16!

This is a special venue and we will be in a cinema screening room for the event. To ensure everyone has the chance to attend we are operating on a first come first served basis and each MRKHer has the option to bring a supporter with them.

Whilst space in person is limited we are also delighted to be able to offer this event as a a hybrid through a Zoom webinar for MRKHers all over to join us too. The main presentations of the event will also be recorded and we hope to make as many of them available as possible after the event and once all speakers have confirmed release.

About the venue:

The Curzon Cinema, London Victoria is located in the heart of central London, and just a short walk from Victoria station. A unique and novel venue, we will be able to see MRKH presented by peers from across the community on the big screen in the way never done before in our community. A truly innovative experience and one that we hope will be a memorable event and venue for all.

Accommodation:

Whilst we aren’t in a position to offer recommendations for accommodation, there are a number of hotels within easy reach of the venue. We also suggest using hotel/apartment booking websites for wider options like booking.com, hotels.com or airbnb.com.

Disclaimer: Our events are peer led and cannot provide medical advice or professional support but can help signpost to services/professional support that may be of interest and are a great way to meet, share experiences and learn from others.
