A week designed to raise awareness of the childless not by choice (cnbc) community and enable every childless person to share their story, their way and with confidence. No children - No less No womb - No less We are all beautiful and worthy. This empowering week is all about sharing the reality whilst exposing the joy that can also be present in a future that perhaps was not planned for. Join webinars, discussions and more on different topics as the voices of those across the childless community are shared. Do you have an experience to share? Through our Do you have an experience to share? Through our partnership on the #FightForSurrogacy campaign we are working to make a change with respect to fairness for access to funding for fertility treatment but what is not well understood or documented is the mental health impact of the journey as a whole. Sara Gilmer, trainee Clinical Psychologist wawawellness joins MRKH Connect for a placement to explore this topic, focusing on the psychological impact of accessing fertility treatment in the UK under the NHS. Access to fertility funding for fertility preservation or for IVF is limited and unequally distributed in the UK if it is available at all. For those of us who also need a surrogate then that access is often even more limited and often those wishing to pursue this journey have to self fund. The impact of this is not just financial but also psychological. Our mental health is critical to our wellbeing. Do you have MRKH? Have you had fertility treatment in the UK? Are you willing to share your experience anonymously as part of professional research designed to understand the toll this takes on our mental health? The outcomes will further raise awareness of lack of mental health support for those facing a fertility journey and work to prioritise action to improve this. What feels like the end is often the beginning. What feels like the end is often the beginning. On the day that the Fitting In movie becomes available in the UK and Ireland I'm (Charlie) reflecting on this statement and thinking how true it is and how much I wouldn't have believed it was possible when I was diagnosed. I sit here with a mix of trepidation, excitement and interest to watch this film. Whilst I don't know how it will make me feel I do know that MRKH may have changed my expected path but I am also all the richer for what I have learnt along the way about myself, my own strength and this incredible community and the opportunities it has provided. Life comes with ups and downs, it unfortunately always will, but there is a strength there we may not feel at the time but with time and support will be something we can look back on and think, wow, i did that, I took that leap and I made it through. MRKH will always be a part of us it doesn't define who we are. We simply grow around it and with it. Maybe this isn't the end, maybe this is just the start.
